“Behavioral change without belief change rarely endures. We address both.”
Dr. Thomas Jefferys & Dr. Laura Maneates — Founders
Our Philosophy
They begin by trying to manage what feels temporary. Boundaries are set. Conversations are repeated. Consequences are discussed. There may even be short periods of improvement.
Over time, however, the pattern becomes clearer. Alcohol use escalates. Anger becomes less predictable. Emotional withdrawal deepens. Relapse repeats. Professional and relational consequences increase.
At some point, it becomes evident that this is not simply a stress issue or a phase. It is a behavioral and emotional structure that requires deliberate intervention.
Rippling Waters provides private, men-only residential treatment designed to address substance use disorders, anger dysregulation, trauma history, compulsive behaviors, and the underlying belief systems that sustain them. Our work extends beyond symptom management toward durable internal change.
Sobriety is foundational.
Emotional maturity and responsibility are the objective.

The Program
30–60–90 Day Residential Structure
Rippling Waters operates a structured 30–60–90 day residential model specifically designed for men who require more than detoxification or short-term stabilization.
Our program integrates evidence-based addiction treatment, trauma-informed therapy, emotional regulation work, structured accountability, and comprehensive relapse prevention planning within a contained and professionally supervised environment.
This is not a volume-based corporate program. It is a deliberately designed residential setting where participation is expected and long-term stability is the goal.
Situated on 400 private acres in the Catskill Mountains, Rippling Waters offers a quiet residential setting designed specifically for men seeking change away from the noise and pressures of daily life.
What We Treat
They are intertwined with suppressed anger, unresolved trauma, shame-based identity, anxiety, depression, and relational instability. Treatment addresses both the behavior and the internal structure beneath it.
A focused residential program providing the structure, accountability, and clinical depth required for lasting change.
400 Private Acres in the Catskills
The setting is not cosmetic. It is integrated into the clinical model.
Structured experiential work, equine integration, and land-based therapeutic assignments provide real-time opportunities for men to practice emotional regulation, accountability, and responsibility. Insight is reinforced through lived experience rather than discussion alone.
The environment offers privacy, containment, and separation from daily triggers, allowing deeper clinical work to occur.
Structured clinical care addressing addiction, trauma, emotional regulation, and behavioral patterns within a private residential setting.
Family Integration
Addiction and behavioral instability affect entire systems. Sustainable recovery requires relational repair, not avoidance.
Rippling Waters incorporates structured couples therapy, family sessions, and on-site family reconstruction weekends as part of the residential process.
Communication patterns, trust erosion, boundary confusion, and enabling dynamics are addressed directly.
Family involvement strengthens accountability and reduces relapse risk after discharge.

Aftercare & Relapse Prevention
Residential treatment represents one phase of recovery. Without structured reintegration planning, gains made in treatment can erode under real-world pressures.
Each client develops a personalized aftercare and relapse prevention plan addressing triggers, high-risk environments, accountability systems, and ongoing therapeutic support. The goal is long-term stability, not temporary compliance.
